Sometimes God doesn't answer our prayers the way we want. God sees our situation much better than we do and we can trust that He always has our best interest in mind. We only see a tiny piece of the puzzle and God has the entire puzzle, and he know how to put it together.
Do you ever find it difficult to be thankful?
Some situation make it hard to be thankful but we can still find reasons to be thankful. Knowing Jesus loves us and choose to die for us is a big enough reason. Knowing God is in control gives us peace, he has a purpose for our life. God blesses us in so many ways that we sometimes fail to recognize. Think about all the wonderful things in our lives: family, friends; think how empty life would be without them.

E everlasting life; He gave the ultimate sacrifice for us, Jesus choose to die for us so we could spend eternity in Heaven with Him one day (John 3:16)
T thanksgiving turkey; FOOD!
H health and healing; you can pray for God's healing power (Isiah 53:5 pierce for our transgressions) (Psalm 147:3 He heals the broken hearted and bind up their wounds)
A abundant life; plentiful: God is present in great quantities; Jessus desires our lives to be full of meaning (Jeremiah 29:11)
N neighbors and friends; such a treasure in life; when you're feeling down, true friends are always there offering love, hope and encouragement; (John 15:13 greater love has no one than this, that He lay down His life for His friends...God died for us, His friends) Love your neighbors as yourself
K King of Kings; our King is the greatest; He will always be greater than all the evil of this world
F forgiveness; Do you ever think of how undeserving we are of His love? Imagine owing a huge debt you couldn't pay and Jesus took it all for us.
U umbrella of protection; Knowing God cares for us and He's always watching is very comforting (1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you)
L Love that is unimaginable; God's love for us is so hard to understand because God's love is unconditional. He love us no matter what; He commands us to love one another as he has loved us, every person has the image of God.
well...you have pretty much said it all:) DANG!!you know without God we wouldn't have our amazing times with B and our family. I thank God for every thing he does for me everyday..And there is always a + to thanksgiving...you get to stuff your face full of amazing food:))))
